Breast feeding women returning to the work force have many obstacles to overcome. Continuing to breastfeed is important to working mothers. The support of employers will affect the continuation of breastfeeding. Termination of breastfeeding because of employer lack of support may negatively affect employee satisfaction and infant health. The purpose of this research was to describe working mother's breastfeeding barriers when returning to work. Perception of barriers of working mothers was reviewed having used a reliable and valid instrument to summarize the perceived barriers in the workforce. Women that were included in this study were breastfeeding women, 18 years of age and older, who had returned to work.
